MAFS UK’s Kasia lets rip at husband ‘secretive’ Kwame after he refuses to let her in his home

Married At First Sight UK’s Kasia let rip at her husband Kwame Badu on Thursday night’s episode after a tense start to the homestay week – with him refusing to let her in his home because he is ‘secretive’.

Fans were just as baffled as Kasia when upon arrival to his hometown of Leyton, east London, he took her around the local park and walked down the high street instead of showing his home environment like the other couples.

And Kasia has since taken to social media to cryptically vent that something else may be behind his refusal – resharing fans’ suggestions of him having another wife or that he just went on the show for the fame.

When they first arrive, Kwame welcomes her to his area: ‘I know she would have loved to have come to my home but I’m a private person. That’s not something I’m happy to do.

‘My focal points are more, “What are you like? How are you as a person?” Does this process give me enough information to want to get to that place where I’d want to show whoever I’m paired up with my home?’

Sitting on a park bench, Kasia told her husband: ‘It would have been better for me personally if I could have been in touch with your environment because we’re coming towards the end of this process now aren’t we.

‘So why can’t we go to your house?’ Kasia asks, and Kwame says: ‘Well, I’m quite private and I’m quite secretive. It’s just something I’m not comfortable doing on the process.’

Kasia says: ‘I understand that, but we did get married at first sight so we knew what we was coming into. That’s a mental challenge for me in this.

‘I’m putting myself on the table, you know, like why can’t we go there?

‘Obviously we had a beautiful wedding – not even your sister was there. You met my granddad, you met my mum, you met my people.

‘So if you didn’t meet all those people you probably wouldn’t feel like you know me as much as you do today.’

Over on her Instagram page last night, Kasia made suggestion that there was more to his reasoning than he let on during the episode.

Fans wrote to the business owner in a Q&A on her stories, with one writing: ‘Why do I feel like Kwame still lives with his baby mum or something?’ – and Kasia simply replied with a shrugging emoji.

Another person wrote ‘My beautiful Queen, please put Kwame in the bin #thatisall,’, with Kasia responding with a video of her in the bath with a face mask on and sipping an orange drink.

One other fan said: 'Red flags RUN don't walk', and Kasia quipped 'Lol'

What? When someone wrote 'You and Kwame are a mood!!! Me and my husband LOVE u both xxx', but Kasia was left bemused, adding: 'Are you watching the same show as me?!'

Funny that! One other fan said: ‘Red flags RUN don’t walk’, and Kasia quipped ‘Lol’, while one confused the business owner by saying she and Kwame ‘were a mood’

One other fan said: ‘He went in to boost his podcast audience’ – and she looked at the camera with wide eyes. Another said ‘Red flags RUN don’t walk’, and Kasia quipped ‘Lol’.

In response to Kasia as they discussed the matter on a park bench, Kwame disagreed: ‘I don’t feel like I have to go through this process and show everything. I can show 70 per cent.

‘This moment here is about me. This is you coming to my side.’

She added: ‘I don’t feel that by walking around this park I am seeing Kwame’s everyday lifestyle. I don’t feel like I’m getting to see fully 100 per cent.

‘I wouldn’t feel like he could make a complete judgement on me and who he’s sleeping with at night if he didn’t meet my family or know where I was resting my head at night, I mean those are the basics.

Baffling: Kwame said he doesn't feel he has to go through the process and show more than 70 per cent of himself

‘We need to think about the real world now, we’re getting close to the end of the experiment, we’re getting close to the final vows. Can I integrate myself into your life?

‘Show me yourself, I’m showing myself to you b***h.’

A string of strained conversations followed later in the episode which saw Kasia and Kwame have it out in front of his friends while they ate dinner.

She met his friends at a restaurant in his home town of Leyton, east London, where they asked his new wife her thoughts about their relationship once it meets the real world post-experiment.

But it got a bit intense after Kwame answered the same question by saying he thinks it will be interesting as they have ‘gotten close’ during the process – with Kasia admitting that he never tells her how he feels about her.

‘I don’t expect the man to tell me how much he’s deeply in love with me but I would have expected Kwame to express himself more towards me or maybe his feelings towards me,’ she said.

‘If he doesn’t [start] then I think we both know where this is heading.’

At the table Kwame told Kasia: ‘At the end of the day I’m gonna hold back because we’re in a process. Because when we’re outside, it’s Free Willy.

Kasia quickly quipped: ‘Well just so you know, I can date outside of this process, Free Willy as you say. All different kind of f*****g willy, OK?’

She then added: ‘I can tell Kwame is very uncomfortable engaging in such of conversations but there are things that are coming up that we need to confront.’

Kwame then told Kasia: ‘There are times when I am surprised by the things you say because I feel like I communicate this the same way all the time.’

She said: ‘We don’t talk about these things behind closed doors, we don’t talk about ourselves outside properly, no we don’t.’

The fiery episode on Thursday led fans to take to Twitter and share both their confusion for Kwame’s ‘secretiveness’ and praise for Kasia’s reaction to her husband not being open and honest about his feelings.

One wrote: ‘I f***** looooove Kasia!!! She is a force to be reckoned with and I am obsessed!!’

Another similarly said: ‘I admire Kasia so much. She isn’t ever afraid to challenge but she always does it respectfully.

‘She’s in control of her emotions but not in a robotic way. She’s clearly highly emotionally intelligent.’

Many fans have been speculating on different reasons why Kwame is keeping his home so private from his new wife. One said on Twitter: ‘Kwame can’t bring Kasia home because he told his (first) wife he’s away for work.’

One other said much the same, writing: ‘KWAME HAS A WIFE! I’m telling you! He does not fancy Kasia! It’s been obvious from the beginning and he won’t let her come to his house.’

Someone else said: ‘This is the same Kwame that said to the experts he’s so confident in this relationship he could leave the experiment but can’t even take Kasia to his house???’

Another wrote on the social media platform: ‘I genuinely wish I was more like Kasia. She’s an absolute babe.

‘She knows her worth and she talks up for herself but is always so poised and badass at the same time. Proper girl crush.

On a lighter note, Jordan Emmett-Connelly was left red faced after his mum told his wife Chanita Stephenson that he got chewing gum stuck on his manhood when he was a child.

Fans were left cringing for him and in hysterics during Thursday night’s episode of MAFS UK, which saw the couples head on their homestay weeks.

Jordan, 29, and Chanita, also 29, went to his home in Darlington where she was welcomed into his environment and got to meet his mum once again.

Bringing out an envelope of printed photographs, Jordan and Chanita were joined by his mum as she reminisced about her son’s younger years.

‘Look at my little kiddiewinkie – that’s me and Joe when we were little.’ Chanita replies, ‘Your hair colour is so different.

Another snap, which showed a young Jordan with a towel wrapped around his head, led Chanita to call him a  ‘little E.T.’.

But then his mother goes on to give her son a very embarrassing moment in front of his new wife: ‘That day, he stole some chewing gum off the side and wrapped it all around his w***y, and I said “What are you doing?”‘

Much to Jordan’s dismay – as he protested – saying ‘No, mam, skip! Next thing!’

Despite this, she carried on: ‘And he come back and said he was all stuck, and every time you pulled it, it pinged his w***y!’

The dramatic episode also saw Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes allowed to re-enter the dating experiment as a brand new couple during Thursday evening’s episode.

The pair, 32 and 31, who both decided to leave with their former spouses during the previous episode, begged the show’s panel of dating experts to stay together and see out the process.

An explosive ‘couples retreat’ week saw the pair spend the night together, despite being under the same roof as Matt’s wife Gemma Rose and Whitney’s husband Duka Cavolli.

But the pair weren’t done with the experiment as a whole, begging the show’s panel of dating experts to continue the process together, which raised the eyebrows of fellow contestants.

Experts Paul C. Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas appeared sceptical to allow the pair back in – with it being a first in Married At First Sight history – but gave the couple a chance to plead their case.

With Paul admitting he didn’t want to let them back in, the dating guru asked Matt and Whitney to ‘tell me why you should be allowed to stay’.

Admitting the experts have helped her emotionally thus far in the process, Whitney detailed her desire to continue developing her relationship with Matt with their help.

And it turned out that the experts, like with every couple on the show, had even checked Matt and Whitney’s scientific compatibility – revealing that they were a match on paper.

Later in the episode, April Banbury met husband George Roberts’ mum and stepdad as they opened up about their ‘intense’ time during the process.

His mum said, while tearing up: ‘Because of his past and of women he hasn’t been able to trust, he is very reluctant to go into another relationship. He has to have that trust.

‘I just want him to be with someone he doesn’t have to worry about, what they’re doing, who they’re with. I’ve seen him hurt.

‘My biggest concern for George is I don’t want him to be hurt again. Oh, I would like to see him happy and safe with somebody.

‘I really don’t want you to break his heart.’

April told her mother-in-law: ‘I’ve always been faithful in every relationship and I believe that I treat people how I’d like to be treated.

‘Rest assured I would never ever hurt George, ever.’
