Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale Teenager Amelia Spencer is left trapped and alone after giving birth during next week’s Storm episodes.
The ITV soap celebrates its 50th anniversary with a huge stunt storyline, as a deadly windstorm hits the village and leaves lives hanging in the balance.
Before the storm hits the village, an oblivious Amelia prepares for a picnic with her boyfriend Noah Dingle.
Amelia crosses the countryside just as the wind begins to pick up.

Amelia soon becomes alarmed by the force of the wind as she is blown away. Her contractions begin and she frantically calls for her father Dan Spencer to come help her.
Dan panics upon receiving the call, but Amelia’s phone dies before she can share her exact location.
Aware that help won’t be coming anytime soon, Amelia leaves to seek refuge in a nearby barn.
Luckily, help is at hand as local policewoman Harriet Finch jumps aboard a quad bike and races to find Amelia.

Lydia Dingle also plays a part in the story, arriving at Home Farm and interrupting Kim Tate’s wedding reception to break the news.
As Lydia announces that Amelia is missing and that more villagers are needed for the search, Kim intervenes by riding her horse through the countryside.
Kim struggles in the treacherous conditions, following the tire tracks of Harriet’s quad. Will one of them find Amelia?

Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia, explained: “The weather isn’t looking good at all. Amelia is freaking out a bit because she doesn’t really know what’s going on. And now she’s having fairly regular contractions.
“Amelia knows deep down that she made a mistake coming here on her own with the weather deteriorating.”

She continued: “Amelia finds herself in a barn in the middle of nowhere because it’s the only place she can find shelter. She’s really worried at this point because she’s only 16 and stuck in a storm raging in the middle of nowhere with no one to help it.
“She also can’t get in touch with anyone because all phone signals have been totally cut off due to the storm. I think at this point her anxiety is at its peak!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on ITV Hub.
