The next week, James’ thoughts turn to his future and he is intrigued when his uncle Ronnie mentions a youth center near Lewisham, which is looking for a football coach.

This seems like the perfect match for James, as he’s close to where her boyfriend Danny Tomlinson lives. The couple have been in a long-distance relationship for a few months.

James calls the center to inquire about the job and is hired the same day.

With a quick turnaround required, James learns that he will start the new position tomorrow.

Nathan Graham has played the role of James since 2019. Last week it was revealed that he had decided to leave Corri.

Channique Sterling-Brown, who landed the role of Dee-Dee, Ed and Aggie’s daughter, will make her first appearance on the cobbles this week.

Channique recently teased: “Organized chaos is how I describe her. She walks into any room, she bursts in and she has a great personality, but she also works really hard. She’s a excellent lawyer and she knows what she is doing.

“I identify with her because I think I’m quite similar, in that I’m really friendly and very talkative. But when I’m in the zone when I’m working hard, I’m there.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on ITV Hub.
