Liverpool were all over the place in their 3-3 draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend. Battling 0-2 after just 17 minutes, the Reds came back into the game, taking the lead just after the hour mark, but their defensive issues became evident again when Leandro Trossard netted a deserved draw with his hat-trick. 83rd minute.

It’s a massive game. This will whet everyone’s appetite in the UK. Liverpool against Rangers, it’s going to be huge. But 3-3 against Brighton this weekend for Liverpool? It’s good to score three goals at home but to concede three is really damaging and it could have been more. Rangers are fresh after beating Hearts 0-4 at the weekend but they really need something here, they lost to Napoli and Ajax; 3-0, 4-0 so they need points fast.
Are they attacking? As we saw in their other games, they went ahead and got punished. Do they defend deep and don’t come out? It will be a very difficult task at Anfield.
Liverpool in their last game getting that last minute goal to beat Ajax was wonderful. I’m obviously aiming for a win at Liverpool and I see them winning by two here.
He hasn’t watched it recently, I have to admit, but there’s always the possibility of a penalty in what, of course, Mo will take. I want him to get back here, he will be absolutely desperate to score a goal.
Liverpool’s defense is no longer as strong as it once was and they have conceded four of their last five at Anfield and three of their last five at home in the Champions League. Rangers have also scored six goals in their last two games and seven in their last five on the road, so I can definitely see both teams scoring here.
As above really, although Liverpool are not at their peak, they are still quite a killer in front of goal, especially at Anfield where they have scored 17 times in their last five games. There will be plenty of action here and with plenty of targets that will pay dividends.
