Emmerdale is lining up a huge Cain and Al story for the 50th anniversary -

Emmerdale Bosses have confirmed plans for Cain Dingle’s feud with Al Chapman to come to a head this month.

The alpha males in the village have clashed regularly this year, but their biggest tension may be yet to come.

Viewers know that Al is having an affair with Cain’s sister, Chas, and the secret lovers are currently planning to elope together.

Cain is currently in the dark on Al and Chas’ hookup, but with huge scenes on the way for Emmerdale50th anniversary month, could that be about to change?

Speaking on the anniversary, producer Laura Shaw commented, “There’s going to be a lot of heartache in October and the rivalry between Cain and Al is really going to kick into high gear.

“Al and Chas have gotten a lot closer now, but will their affair finally be revealed? Viewers will have to wait and see!”

When asked how long the Anniversary Stories have been in the works, executive producer Jane Hudson replied, “Some of the stories that we’ve known for over a year, especially the story where we see her shift into high gear between Cain and Al.

“Soaps are constantly being asked to prove why they’re still relevant and why there’s still a demand for them. This month the book. No drama can deliver what we’re about to deliver in terms of visuals, of storytelling and performance.”
